Mid Year (?!) Reflection

I posed an experiment at the beginning of the year. I proposed starting the day with the questions:
"God, what do you want me to know about who You are this morning?"
"What do You want me to know about who You say I am?"
"What do You want me to know about (whoever comes to mind)?"
It changed the way I woke up every morning. Focusing my mind on these questions (one or all) first thing in the morning set the trajectory of my day in a way that has been very helpful.
I am spending some time reflecting here at the midway point of the year (yes, it is true). I thought you might like to do some reflecting yourself. Here are the questions I will be sitting with (feel free to do them all or to pick and choose ones to contemplate):
Since the beginning of the year...
What has gone well?
What has been challenging?
What have I learned about God?
How have I experienced God?
What have I learned about myself?
What do I appreciate about how God made me?
Who have I really enjoyed being around?
What is it about this person/ these people that I like?
What have I learned about others (in general or whoever you listed)?
What have I learned about God's love through others?
How do I want to incorporate what I have gleaned moving forward in the next few months?
What do I want to leave behind/ let go of?
I like to spend some time just being quiet for a while and go through the questions one by one. Sometimes it works better to break the questions up over a few days. Feel free to experiment and do what works best for you.
May your time reflecting and remembering be sweet!
Love,
Jamie
